I find that creating a PLN is really great. It's helpful for those of us with less experience using technology, and less experience teaching as well, to use other people as guides to be successful. I enjoyed reading my coworkers' blogs and seeing the cool things they did. I hope that they will enjoy my blog as well!
I thought a really helpful one (for me) was www.sfmsbandtogether.blogspot.com. He clearly knows a lot about technology, and he is a music person, so it's helpful for me to see the types of things he does and apply them to my choir classroom.
